Amring on tyres, wheels and the development of the industry
EXHIBITOR | Tyres and wheels are a natural part of Automässan – and for Amring, the show is a natural place to connect with the industry. We spoke briefly with Benjamin Mahl, Marketing Manager at Amring, the Nordic region’s largest tyre wholesaler, about what is currently driving tyre development, how customer needs have evolved and what matters most in the relationship between wholesaler and workshop.
Tyres and wheels are a classic feature at Automässan – what makes the show the right place for you to exhibit?
– As a tyre and wheel wholesaler, it is invaluable for us to meet both existing customers and new contacts in one place. Personal interaction means a lot to us, and the show is a perfect opportunity to demonstrate who we are and what we can offer.
What is hottest in the tyre world right now – new materials, sustainability, electric vehicles or something else entirely?
– The short answer is: all of the above. Sustainability has increasingly become a natural part of product development, with a focus on longer lifespan, lower rolling resistance and more environmentally friendly materials. At the same time, electric vehicles place new demands on tyres, for example in terms of noise levels, grip and load capacity due to higher weight and instant torque.
You have been in the industry for a long time – how have customer needs changed?
– In the past, it was largely about price and availability. Today, it is just as much about complete solutions. Customers expect fast deliveries, good terms, smooth processes with strong support, and a wide product range covering all types of vehicles. Many are looking for a partner rather than just a supplier – someone who understands their needs and helps them develop their business.
What do you hope visitors take away after talking to you at the stand?
– That we are a committed and reliable partner who values strong customer relationships. Our hope is that visitors leave with a clear picture of who we are, what we can contribute to their business, and that we are a company they want to continue doing business with after the show.
