Automässan 2026 demonstrated the strength of the industry’s most important meeting place
PRESS RELEASE | A sold-out exhibition floor, a high tempo in conversations and strong engagement from across the industry. Over four intensive days, Automässan 2026 brought together business, relationships and future-focused issues, creating a meeting place where exhibitors and visitors shared a common focus on development.
With 220 exhibitors and 18,335 visits, Automässan once again confirmed its role as the leading meeting place in the Nordics for the automotive service and aftermarket industry.
Meetings that lead to business
From the very opening, the exhibition was characterized by high activity across the stands. Exhibitors report meeting the right kind of visitors, engaging in many relevant dialogues and creating business opportunities that were both initiated and strengthened on site.
“The right people come here. We have attended many trade fairs across Europe, but Automässan is without a doubt the best when it comes to the quality of meetings,” says Tim Klaar, Key Account Manager at Autocom.
The direct meeting between suppliers and decision-makers is one of the exhibition’s clearest strengths.
“There is no other meeting place where suppliers and end users can meet in this way. The quality of the conversations is very high, which is why Automässan continues to be so relevant for both business and the development of the industry,” says Peter Eriksson, Secretary General of FVU.
Future issues in practice
Beyond business, Automässan 2026 took a clear stance on the industry’s long-term challenges. Digitalization, preparedness and, not least, skills supply ran as a common thread through both the exhibition and the seminar program.
The new area Prova på branschen (Try the industry) provided a tangible picture of how professional roles are changing, from traditional craftsmanship to a more digital and technology-intensive working environment.
“Skills supply is one of the industry’s greatest challenges. Automässan is one of the few places where we can meet the next generation, show the breadth of professional roles and spark interest in the jobs of the future within our industry,” says Johnny Bräster, Chairman of Svenska Fordonsbranschen.
During the exhibition, more than 1,000 upper secondary school students from vehicle technology programs took part in Automässan’s student program, including introductions focused on the workshop industry of the future.
A complete experience that engages
For many, it was the overall experience that made the strongest impression. A full exhibition floor, a relevant seminar program and strong engagement from exhibitors created a meeting place defined by both energy and professionalism.
“Automässan is an industrial trade fair, but it is also modern, vibrant and full of life. Above all, there is a strong sense of community that makes the exhibition both relevant and alive,” says Jan Nilsson, Business Manager for Automässan.
Looking ahead
With the experiences from 2026, work on the next Automässan has already begun.
“The work never really stops. We now take the lessons learned from this year’s exhibition and continue to develop Automässan as the industry’s most important meeting place,” says Johnny Bräster.
The next Automässan will be held on 17–20 January 2029.
